Being in a healthy relationship means …
· Loving and taking care of yourself, before and while in a relationship.
· Respecting individuality, embracing differences, and allowing each person to “be themselves.”
· use effective communication skills, including verbal and non-verbal communication. It is important to have good listening skills, and to be prepared to ask questions for clarification and not expect the other person to be a mind-reader.
· Discussing things, allowing for differences of opinion, and compromising equally.
